Panorama BC Mountain Village is outside of the National Parks and has been designed from the outset as an architecturally
controlled resort development. A smaller version of Whistler in terms of overall size, amenities, ambience and cost,
Panorama offers some of the best skiing and accommodations on the western slopes of the Canadian Rockies.
In recent years, the resort has undergone a number of significant improvements and new developments in the village and on
the mountain. With the addition of varied ski terrain, slope side hot pools, accommodations, and a village gondola, Panorama
Mountain Village is has become one of the Canadian Rockies' premier winter vacation destinations. The biggest addition to
the slopes in recent years is "Outback" in Taynton Bowl. Formerly heli-skiing terrain, Taynton Bowl offers skiers and
snowboarders over 700 acres of wide open and naturally gladded backcountry-style terrain. Other runs and ski zones added in
recent years include the Millennium run, the Extreme Zone and the Sun Bowl. Taynton Bowl, combined with these other terrain
expansions, adds to the excellent selection of beginner, intermediate and advanced runs on the mountain, totaling close to
3000 patrolled acres.
